My Visit with a Recent "Graduate"

Today I went to the doctor's office and met with a nurse practitioner.  I was really glad I did as she had a great Barix experience and has lost over a third of her excess weight in just under three months.

Some points that really "connected" with me:
  • she was a "carb craver"
  • she did not feel full
  • occasional bad choices did not seem to equal weight gain
  • concern about health and appearance
  • bad knees
  • trouble sleeping
Some points that gave me encouragement:
  • no regrets, no negatives
  • back to work in two weeks
  • feel terrific - knee pain gone
  • able to eat most foods now
  • feeling full really does happen!
  • body stores fewer calories as fat (less absorbed calories) "Today I had tea and a cookie at break - one cookie, not five - and less of that cookie was absorbed."
  • looks forward to weekly weigh-ins
  • Barix is wonderful
If I had any doubts they are gone.

I hope to get the "all clear" from the cardiologist a week today.  That is the last step in my approval.  I will then be getting ready for "take-off"... (yes, a double meaning... no, not that one; clean your minds...)
