Some Helpful Resources

Me again - twice in one day!  I appreciate the kind words of support and the positive comments from Wayne on his blog.

I remembered that I wanted to share a couple of resources that I have found helpful:

Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies  (Yes, they have a "dummies" book for everything...)

Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery by Pat Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray

I bought both on Amazon.ca.  They arrived so quickly I swear the credit card was still warm!  The "Dummies" book is a good all around Q and A book with some decent eating suggestions.  The second book tells how to prepare the same delicious food depending on your surgery and the number of weeks out you happen to be.  Puree does not have to be boring!

Before you get the idea that I am a chef, let me make it very clear that my role in the kitchen is "clean-up crew".  There is a reason for that.

By the way, you know me as "Cellar Dweller" on the Barix Boards.  As you can see in my picture, there are large windows in the background - very "un-cellar-like".  "Cellar Dweller" refers to three men (Sam, Doug and David) who are from the same church and have discovered they like to play music together in Sam's cellar (hence the name...).  It's great fun, a great diversion, and really cheap therapy.

Having a diversion that has nothing to do with food will be important to my success.  I hope the guys are up for a lot of practices!

Until next time...
David (aka Cellar Dweller)
